Are you a fan of cigars? Ok, so you know @drewestatecigar and if you do , I’m pretty sure you know of Willy Herrera. He is the mastermind behind the phenomenal #Norteno cigar, master blender for Drew Estates, and the main man at the Titan de Bronze factory down in Miami; where he dug his roots in the cigar game. The #Miami line was originally released in 2016 but in an extremely limited quantity and a single size (vitola). There were a few special releases since then but now the Miami is in regular production.
Initial Light and First 3rd
The Chestnut colored wrapper that’s slightly toothy has an earthy leathery scent to it. It is meticulously wrapped with faintly visible seams yet quite a few veins adding texture depth. As typical with Esteli cigars, the Miami is filled with firmly packed quality tobacco. With a V-cut clip to the head and getting the burn going, the open ventilation gives an immediate delivery of cedar, fresh grass, and peppercorn. It’s a very “ground” flavor base so far that it would pair great with Columbian or dark roast coffee.

Second 3rd
The pepper overtakes the earthy notes while cedar comes close to completely falling off in this 3rd. It is replaced with a dry mineral taste that is similar to the outer nut shell or actual espresso grounds. The burn is decent but may need small corrections here and there to stay even. Overall if you are a fan of cigars that have that umami flavor, this would be right up your alley. The Ecuadorian wrapper and binder plays well with the Nicaraguan and Dominican filler to create a very mature, complex smoke.
Final 3rd
This portion finally introduces rich sweeter notes similar to raisin or dark syrup. I would say that this new introduction of flavor highlights the nutty, woody, coffee and sweet combination that any smoker would appreciate. The pepper is present in the pull but doesn’t remain as long as it has in previous 3rds. It has a medium body and medium strength. Because of the many flavors, this would be a cigar that I would suggest you take your time with so you can pay attention to all that you’re getting.
