@aj_fernandez_cigars has a portfolio that has steadily increased as if they are not already one of the largest names in the cigar world. One thing that can be appreciated is their constant tinkering with their blends. The Bella Artes Maduro is a remake of the original Artes. This version has the same Nicaraguan filler and Mexican San Andres binder but now a dark Brazilian Mata Fina Maduro wrapper.
Initial Light and First 3rd
The beautiful shape and color is just the beginning of this immaculate box-pressed cigar. The royal band that is reminiscent of Roman sculptures secured in the Vatican. The name itself means fine art. The flavor is coffee, tannin (dark red fruit), and cedar. It’s a rich cigar that gives you all the decadent notes that’s fitting to such a diverse blend of tobacco leaves.
Second 3rd
This portion has its flavor transitioning to espresso latte, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. The Bella Artes gives out a great volume of smoke and body. The espresso latte flavor is creamy and layered. The spice on the back end adds a nice kick to give the cigar a balanced smoke. I’ll also mention how well the cigar is burning. No issue with relighting and the ash.

Final 3rd
The sweetness falls secondary to a tingling spice that I would relate to cayenne pepper. There’s a lot of earthiness to follow the sultry pepper; making this cigar now a true fully body experience. In summary, it’s a rich complex cigar with a consistent savory flavor throughout. -Paired well with Smooth Ambler Contradiction Whiskey.
